Can someone tell me how the back-up switch wiring is routed on a '65 with 4 spd manual trans? Where does the wire go through the floor to the switch at the trans. shifter? Thanks Jerry

If memory serves me, there is a hole next the the shifter opening (on the left side) in floor where this wire passes through.

The area is directly to the rear of the shifter. Lift the carpet and you will see the indention.

thanks for the info. My complete floorboard was replaced, so I don't have any holes or indentions to go buy. I will make a hole around the shifter and run it down to the shifter. I suppose the wire runs along the top of the tunnel before going through the floorboard. Jerry

You are correct on the wiring run along the console back to the firewall. You will need to make an indentation as there is a rubber grommet where the wires go through the floor pan. The rubber will make a bump in the carpet. Otherwise just notch the carpet around the rubber grommet
Good luck
