    65 6 cyl 200 cuinch engine

    i have a 65 mustang  with a c4 trans  with a 200 cu inch  engine  and  was woundering  how much  i will lose  if i go to 15 inch wheels as far as  power  and acceleration  over the 14 inch wheels

    I don't know that that would even be a problem. You can play with wheel and tire diameters that could end up being taller, shorter, or the same as the stock set up. I don't think you'll notice any power differences, but you'll notice the difference in looks.

    '66 Fastback since July 27, 1981. Springtime Yellow, originally a 200 cu in, 4 speed. Also a '92 LX Coupe, 5.0, 5 speed.

    If you install 15" wheels that actually fit the car properly, the OD of the tire will be very similar to the existing tire OD.  The 15" tire just has a larger hole in the middle of it for the larger wheel, and shorter sidewalls so the OD remains same.  Shoot for a tire 24" +- in diameter and it will be fine with no negligible difference in power.  Ride quality will decrease due to a heavier wheel assembly, but probably a negligible amount.
