Cable Clutch Kit - Clean Slate T-5

I have a 1966 coupe with a swapped 1988 5.0 and a T-5 1352-000-169.

I should say I had that T-5.  On the way back from 'Cars and Coffee' event in the transmission started jumping ouf of second gear. This coupled with a sticking pedal were major issues.  After taking it to a couple of shops and trying to diagnose the problem my self I decided to go clean slate.  We pulled the transmission and clutch.  Flywheel had some bad hotspots, the linkage appeared to be damaged and wearing on the firewall, and clutch needed to be replaced.  I bought the car in this state.  I had no prior documentation other than some pictures from the restoration and the assumption that they pulled the engine and t-5 from the same donor car.

I ordered a new T-5z from Summit, a RAM Clutch, and steel flywheel.  Again, going clean slate.  Mainly for peace of mind but also performance.  Really I'm only paying about 30% more over trying to have it rebuilt and doing all the labor.  I'm good with all of this....BUT

The linkage/cabling seems to either be custom, hackjob, retrofit, or some combination of the 3.  I haven't been able to find anything close to what I have.  It seems like it was a rod system so they might have kept the original clutch mechanism.  But it was bent and twisted.  Needless to say, I'd rather replace it all.  So I saw the kits you have and I'm not clear.  Do you sell an entire cable kit or do you just have the instructions for fab?  I'd rather just buy it outright.  My welding skills aren't to hot these days.

Also, I'm in Richardson.  I've frequented several mustang meetups.  We might have crossed paths at some point.  Do you have a shop or allow visitors?  Needless to say my stang isn't running but I'd like to see the clutch setup in person.

I tried to upload pics but I got a spam error.

Re: Cable Clutch Kit - Clean Slate T-5

The MS cable kit is a nice setup. You should also check out his pedal support, significantly stouter and more precise than the stock parts. Welcome to the forum.
