hey guys i have a balancer question iam working on a stock 1980 302 block number E0AE the balancer part number is D20E6316 could this be right a 1980 block with a 1972 balancer and is the balancer a 28oz

Mark, the only way to know for sure is to check the crankshaft, that is what determines whether it's a 28oz. or a 50oz. imbalance. If you know for sure the engine is unmolested, then a 28oz. is probably the correct one. The number on the balancer just indicates when they started making that balancer-but they may have used it for many years. I think '83 was the change over year to 50oz., more or less. With Ford, almost anything can happen!

This 28oz and 50 oz looks similar in later years for trucks cars are different. Post pics of it we can better tell from that. Is the motor not running worth a darn?
