Hey Folks,
This years project with annual bonus is REAR DISC BRAKES....Im looking for the most cost effective way to do this. Steve I know you have a cobra setup, and as much as I would love this set I believe its a little too rish for my blood
Does anyone know of a decently price set? W/Emergiency Brake setup.
Lastly, I do receive Mechanic Pricing on parts at a couple of my local venders. So if anyone suggests/knows of just bracketing and/or hardware I can get the rest. this should help the wallet
Thanks,
Jeff

i've got the mark VII brakes on the rear of my 69. bought the brackets mentioned above & found a donor at pull-a-part with good turnable rotors & calipers that i used for cores. total price after completion was around $275.

If you have the wherewithall you can do what I did, make your own mounting brackets. I looked at the previously mentiond web site, (not sure but it may be Ultrastangs) and got the concept of what was needed for the MKII conversion. I have less tha 200 bucks invested.
Get a set of core calipers from a pick and pull, make sure you get all the brackets, bolts and hardware.
I got rebuilt calipers from a local parts store as well as the new rotors and hoses.
I used a band saw to make the mounting and emergency cable brackets, if you have a plasma cutter that would work as well.
Here are some picture.
The comlpeted conversion.

The o/e splash shields were rotted and new ones were not available.these are made from body metal.

With stock 68 Shelby ten spoke wheels I needed a 3/16" spacer.
