Cut console radio bezel in a 1967

My recently purchased 67 fastback has an old aftermarket stereo installed into the console bezel.
The back of the right ( deep ) side of the bezel has been cut to make it even with the left side for the stereo.

There is nothing holding the stereo on this side because of the cut to the bezel. Anybody have pictures on what to do to properly secure the stereo on this side?

Once the bezel is cut, is there any way to mount an original radio back into the bezel? Pic's would be great.

Since it is a console and the bezel is in excellent condition, other than being cut, I don't want to replace it, but the aftermarket stereo looks crappy in it now.
