Is there a neater more elegant way to join the cut ends of an e brake cable other than using a couple of u bolt fasteners? This just doesn't look to appealing to me and I was hoping that someone would have a better idea.
Thanks for any input.

I thnk Ron68 has some tools to put more professional cable ends on.
I have brake cable kits professionally made now for COBRA ebrakes on 67-70 Mustangs. They have no joints other than what the factory would have used to connect the three separate cables. Working on the 65/66 version which will be one piece.

Thank you Steve. I will contact Ron and see what he has.Where did you have your cable done? If Ron cannt do it shipping cannt be to expensive.

Steve - give me a call and I can see if I can help you out. There is a tool that I have access to that can compress a copper sleeve over the cables that will make a nice clean splice installation. The picture is of an uncrimped sleeve over my e-brake cable splice.

Here is a picture of the finished install of the cable splice on the driver's side.
