Shelby drop still in effect!! I put 1/2" coilspring spacer on top of front springs to get the fenders off the tires and I changed the rear spring spacers to 7/8" to level it off. Ride height is 13 3/8" front and 14 1/2 rear. I am waiting on a steering part that I had rebuilt to get returned to me and then reinstall and align.
I am having an issue with the front rising up under acceleration and not coming back down. I'm hoping it is an alignment issue.
I had my frontend aligned earlier this spring and everything was fine till I decided to raise the front end back up. I also discovered I didnt replace the strut rod bushings during my front end rebuild this past winter.
well I pulled the front springs out to put the spacers on and in the process I had to pull the UCA loose to get the springs out. When using an internal spring compressor you have to pull the UCA loose to have clearance to remove the spring. After I put the springs back in place and changed the strut rod bushings I took it for a drive and discovered the issue with the front end rising up. It looks like a west coast car with the front end higher than the rear. when you hit the brakes it will come down.
I have had EVERYTHING loose again and retightened with the weight on the tires. still hoping its way out of alignment. Time will tell
Thanks for asking!!
