Pretty cool.  The gas to get you to the dealer these days cost more than the parts  back then.

or, if your old "T" model was worn out, you could cough up $385 for brand new 1928 "A" model roadster.

i think i'll take three new ones at that price....

An average hourly wage for a manufacturing worker in 1928 was .56 cents an hour.  Relative to a person's income then, $385.00 would have been a pretty good chunk of change.

In todays dollars, $385.00 would equal $5,099.86.

By 1932, that same worker's hourly wage would have dropped to .44 cents an hour (12 cents an hour decrease in pay) --assuming in 1932 they still had a job.
