It was a '66 Mustang coupe in a Pick-a-Part yard. I thought the days of seeing those in theres were over. It was just a C code coupe made in San Jose that I could tell was probably originally Sauterne Gold. The poor thing had damage in all four corners and been picked 98% clean. Among the few unwanted leftovers was an auto floor shifter for a console, remnants of a black headliner and door panels, and a single res master cylinder. Very few other clues were left at the crime scene...

Where in San Jose did you see it? Looking to pick up some extra parts.

Only thing worse than that is finding your OWN CAR sitting in a junk yard! This happened to me many years ago when I came across the 65 Cutlass I had in high school and college sitting in a salvage yard. No parts had been removed from it. I could tell it was mine by the custom gauges fitted into the dash. I know the thing used alot of oil. I guess they just decided to part it out. Worst part was that no one had wanted anything off of it!

The car was made in San Jose. The VIN started 6R07C. The car is in a Pick-a-part lot north of Madera. The only things left on the car were the front springs, shocks, control arms, struts, pencil thin sway bar, gas tank and leaf springs. Its 2bbl manifold and valve covers were tossed in the trunk. I've seen worse mustang bodies get saved with new rear quarters and such. These things are steadily disappearing.

yep, that's a sad sight to see.........only thing worse is finding one that's only held together by rust....
