If it's any consolation, imagine what the poor bastards had to go through 100 years ago..

With any luck, it may end soon as suddenly as it appeared.  Best of luck, and prayers..

Re: Going into the hospital for lithotropy this morning

I make them sucker's to. The word is Dalauded. Works like Morphine. I take them where ever I go. When I feel the stone coming on I take 2 of those puppies and head for the hospital. By the time I get there I am feelin Noooooo pain anywhere. DON"T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT THEM.

When I fell off the roof and broke my humerus (arm bone I had to look that up), they gave me Oxycodone. It didn't seem to help much. My sister, a nurse, suggested to take tylenol with it. Seemed to work much better.

That turns it into OXYCONTEN,right?!!

Hope you made it to see someone today. Fever and kidney stones are a bad combination. Learned that last year from one of the guys that works for me. He missed 3 weeks of work for the same thing. 😬

Not exactly going as planned. Bad pain every day until I get drugged up and that sometimes does not work.

Hoping you're pain free soon.

Re: Going into the hospital for lithotropy this morning

Nothing worse than going through a few days of pain thinking it is all coming to an end, then finding you need surgery. Are thoughts and prayers are with you, really hope they get it this time. Take care Steve.

What they're going to do is go after the stone fragments with a scope through the twinkie.  Not a particularly invasive procedure but they sometimes leave in a catheter for a few days to help urination.

I'm hoping that before the procedure happens, Steve will pass the rest of the fragments.  My wife went from "shoot me now" pain to totally pain free in less than half an hour (on the third day after the litho).

Re: Going into the hospital for lithotropy this morning

Survived.  Doc said he got them all on driver side.  Still one on passenger side still attached.  Hopefully will still be there when I die!

I can now ride in my wife's MKZ without a pillow under my lower back.  All these years of the pain in that car must have been caused by the stones even though they were not blocking anything at the time.

And to think, I used to love the stones!
