I've got to attach the weather-strip to my trunk lid but the adhesive is solvent based. My problem is that in order to get enough temperature for the stuff to work I would need to use an electric heater. Plus the garage is attached to my house (pilot for stove, etc.) Anyone know of a water based weather-strip adhesive or do I have to put the project on hold till I get some warm weather?

Just how cold is it in your garage?!
Surely the adhesive is NOT so sensitive that a few degrees cooler than ideal would keep it from working....maybe take a little longer to set up,butt.......?!

MustangSteve tip for using 3M adhesive. DO NOT try to use it as contact cement. Just run a bead for a few inches and press the seal into place. Hold the seal in place with strips of masking tape and move to the next section. Work all the way around the trunk lid in this manner. I did all the door, roof, and trunk seals in this manner and it works fine. The glue will hold fine when used this way.
I fought this stuff for years until MS gave me the word. This is especially helpful for the roof seal where you need to get the seal properly seated in the channel.
As for temp, as long as you don't let the bead of adhesive skin over much, you should be fine. Just run a short bead and press the seal into place. That will squish the adhesive and destroy and skin it's formed.
Yes it's solvent based but unless you are working inches from your water heater and using way more of that stuff than normal, I can't believe you'd have a problem.
Or, take the trunk lid into the kitchen...how understanding is your wife? LOL

A hair drier will be very helpful....to warm the metal and rubber...keep the 3M type weather strip adhesive in a glass of hot water....Go for it.....jj
