From the Ford racing website it looks like there 5 versions of the e303 cam. Am I reading this right? I thought there was just (1) version of e303. Maybe I misread?
I'm interested cause I have AFR 165 heads with stock pistons and I'm looking for a mild cam to compliment. E303 was going to be my first choice...any other suggestions?

I don't think you're reading the Ford Racing cam list chart right.
It does show 5 cams.............5 different cams.....ie: B-303, E-303, etc.
Look at it again..........

and if that's the cam you go with, you'll find a better deal at latemodelrestoration.com and they have free shipping.............their's is listed at $199.99

Better yet........google Delta Cams(in Tacoma Wa.) and get toll free number... talk to Ken. Tell him what you have and what you THINK you want and he will custom grind you one for less than that $199.99 deal. Get a little more/less duration....more/less LSA... same with lift.
I've dealt with them and they are super. They do a lot of custom work for NW racers.
Tell him Mike/6sally6 recommended them.

You do have a 5.0 roll;er block, right? That cam won't work in non-roller blocks.

Ah yes! Makes sense now. Obviously I wasn't looking at it right. Great help and info guys. I'm going to give Delta Camshaft a call tomorrow and have them grind.
@MustangSteveit it is a roller 5.0 ho
Speaking of rollers...would 1.7 RR alright to use with these stock pistons and AFR 165 heads? Or 1.6RR? Would any of you have a preference?
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
