I have a 67 Mustang that was originally an a/c car. I am building it non a/c with the regular heater box and heater hoses going through the two separate small holes in the firewall for this purpose.
I am left with the large oblong punch out in the firewall that was for the a/c hoses. Does anybody make a rubber grommet to fill this hole? I can't find a listing for it anywhere. Thanks

No plug that I've heard of...I welded mine closed. Butt (TS&T), you might be able to use the original grommet and two-piece clamp but add a piece of sheet metal that blanks off the grommet. That way the grommet will seal against the firewall and the sheet metal blank will seal against the grommet....if this makes any sense.

Makes sense, but I don't have any of the original a/c parts, the main reason I am going non a/c.

YOU CAN BUY THE A/C GROMMET AND METAL PARTS AT MOST ANY CLASSIC MUSTANG SUPPLIER.

When you go back to a heater only you end up with the blower motor sticking through the bulk of the hole where the AC stuff went. You might be able to cut/modify an AC grommet to cover the hole. Its a clamshell metal deal with a rubber insert. You could probably just replace the insert with some 1/4" thick rubber.
BTW, if you need any heater only stuff for a '67 I've got everything. I converted my car to factory in dash AC many years ago, but kept the heater parts because they were still good and thought they might do someone some good one day.
