I'm installing a Mustang II front end on a 67 mustang. I'm having issues with the spindles binding in the ball joints. I think the coil springs might be to long. I have attached pics. Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

Maybe try using a floor jack under the lower control arm and seeing how far you have to jack it up to free up the binding.

The spring is so stiff that it will not arms will not move at all. The engine is not in the car so no weight in the front.

There you go... I think you would find that same issue affects the original suspension.

Unless you plan on doing some off road mogul jumping the suspension will never reach that degree of extreme travel during driving.
Looks like the spindle steering arm is in the front and it looks like there is a rack mounting tab on the crossmember, so, front steering?

Yes it is front steering. My concern is unless there is 2000 lbs on the front of the car the suspension is never going to get to the point of the A arms being level like they should be.

Too early to tell. I have a MII Heidt's on a 66 and I remember it standing up like that until I put the motor/trans,front sheet metal, bumper, and radiator full of water, etc. The a-arms are now level. The only thing that I don't like about it is the cheap rubber boots around the ball joints. Good luck Mike

Suggest getting several buddies to get approximately 1000 lbs on the front end and see what happens. As you state the lower arms should be level at the with the car at "normal" ride height. Based on what you find, call the supplier, they may have other spring rates available.
