I have the JBA mufflers on my car. If I even tjink about taking it for a ride on a weekend morning 2 of my neighbors complain. Any chance of getting a sound clip of the quietflow's
Tell your "busy-body" neighbors to get a life and leave yours alone! So long as you're not doing burnouts and putting the engine on the rev limiter what does it hurt? Do they have dogs? Their barking would need to be addressed if it were me! Neighborhoods consists of many people (trying) to live together peacefully. That does NOT mean you need to whisper when they are around so as not to "disturb" them.
Maybe I should come over with my open-header Mustang some Saturday morning......just for a friendly little visit!!

Sal, the neighbors are probably Prius owners................if they were my neighbors, I'd probably buy a Harley too...

6sally6,
What does DC stand for?
Now for fun, I have to rely on the g-force throwing me back in the seat instead of noise.
DC stands for me and my mufflerless 65 Fastback. It just passes the 50 foot drive by test at 103 dba at track days. Both pipes exit on the passenger side in front of rear wheel which makes them point away from the microphone. If I point them at the neighbors house things get interesting in a hurry.

Easy on the Prius owners! I'm doing my part trying to make up for the Mustang's ruining our environment

Any truth to the rumor that the Prius batteries are made in India because the process is so dirty that they can't be made in Japan, USA or other environmentally tuned in places? Maybe pollution in India doesn't affect the rest of the world like pollution in the USA does. Or is it just a money thing?
Just wondering,

I think it's in Canada
The Prius takes $15 to fill it and may last me a month, the mustang take $50 and I swear you run thru the gears and can see the needle moving. But there's definitely a fun factor drivin the mustang.
I got the Pruis for 2k with a bad trans, owner ran it out gas and drove on the electric motor/trans and ruined it. $300 for a trans in junk yard because they don't really sell many. The technology intrigues me and worked on them for 13 yrs

I do keep ear plugs in the car for when I go farther than the edge of town (less than a mile). At cruise it is really not very loud, but put some load on it and it is sweet!

What is the part number for the Walker SS 21856 muffler? I went on the Walker website and while there was a SS number listed for the SS equivalent, I couldn't find any info on that number.

If you take the info you just typed...
Walker SS 21856 muffler
...and copy/paste it into a google search, a multitude of information on that muffler will come up. At least it did when I just did it...

MS - you are correct, but when you go to those websites, there isn't an SS model for the 21856 muffler. The Walker site lists "Ultra Flow SS" with a number 17283, as the equivalent SS model for the 21856, but a web search for this number takes you to the DynoMax website, but the muffler length (14") and overall lengths (19"), are different then the 21856 dimensions ... and I don't think the desired sound qualities of the 21856 will be met.

Is anybody running the 14" dynomax 17733? Is it a big difference in sound. I would expect a little more sound, but not much, since the design is the same. It's just 5" shorter. Anybody know if you can hear the guy next to you with the 14 inchers?

does anyone here know what the area size is on the floor board where the mufflers reside on a first generation mustang as compared to a 64 falcon

Curious what the sound difference is between the Walkers and the Dynomax Super Turbos. I have the Dynomaxes and am very happy with them - nice deep rumble at idle and they roar when you stomp the skinny pedal. I don't think they're very loud at highway speeds but I honestly wouldn't know because I always have the window rolled down and the amount of wind noise you get at 85 mph with the window down far surpasses any noise you could get from the engine or the radio

Not sure if they are the same walkers your referring to but I put a pair of walker turbo mufflers on my wife's Impala SS- very quiet. Little rumble and more when you hit it. They rusted off her car in about two years. I won't buy them again.

I really liked the walker turbos behind a 440. Just like Brent 65, nice and quiet, mellow rumble when you're up it.
But ..... it was a sleeper, in a stock looking 67 Valiant wagon. So exactly what I wanted.
Probably the climate, but mine were still on the car 7 yrs later.
