What hassles did you run into? What brand did you buy?

I used 3/4" Grab A Track by Mustang Plus. Clearance with the exhaust is a bit tight but not impossible. It requires some drilling in the frame above the rear axle. It took me a couple of hours to install. I also installed the matching 1" front bar and delrin bushings all around. Straight bold in. Be SURE you use the supplied lube on all the places where the delrin bushings ride!

I have an ADDCO 3/4" rear that I installed several millennia ago. It was easy. I had to drill some holes in the rear frame rail a little behind the rear axle. The rest was a bolt in. I think I only needed one socket and a ratchet. There are no issues with the tail pipes, but there is some interference with the axle vent on the left axle tube. The front is 1", both with urethane mounts and rubber bushings on the uprights.
One thing. bolt in's fail. Mine ripped thru the frame rail. It is now welded. Put it in and bolt it. Then weld it tight.

Only one that will not be constantly in a bind is the one that goes BELOW the axle. The ones abovethe axle have too short end links and they cannot adequately move around. That is why the bolts rip through the framerails.

I'm curious....has anyone experienced an over steer condition after installing the rear sway bar? I installed a factory optional rear sway bar on a first gen Mazda RX-7 that I restored years ago...made the dang thing nearly un-drivable, hind end was so loose. Don't get crazy until you work up to it. You may want to do a little tuning on that bar.

I installed a 1" front bar, replacing the stocker and the 3/4" rear sway bar at the same time. The result was almost neutral steering, even when drifting around corners. The car also cornered much more flatly. I love it even though I don't drive that hard any more.
And, I agree with MS. The mounts could use more length, but whatever you get, weld it in.

I am with lowercasesteve, I have the ADDCO front 1" and 3/4" rear sway bars and I like the way my car steers in the corners.

Summit has Scott Drake bars really cheap. Any thoughts? Bit concerned because everyone commented on the front mounts bolt holes not lining up. Wondering if they've gone cheap Chinese.

Yes Bob, a rear sway bar on a rear wheel drive car adds oversteer. As lowercasesteve states, the front and rear swaybars must be balanced. Sounds like you needed a larger front swaybar.
