I finally finished it. I haven't run it yet because of the weather but I found the correct size belt after about 4 belts. I plan on adding AC down the road so I bough the AC delete pulley. Getting the Unisteer pump to work and getting the brackets and fittings to fit was the biggest PIA of the whole project. Thanks Josh and Corky for the brackets you gave me a few years back. Had to do some trimming on the AC bracket but they worked Great! Steve69

Not ruling it out yet but we'll see. Kids have cross country during that time. Your right that was a long drive through Illinois...LOL Kids wanted to see the Ocean so Last summer we drove down to Marco Island. Corky is on the Northern side so that wouldn't be as far.

I have a Unisteer Rack so I'm using there pump that is really pissing me off...LOL I had to do a lot of screwing around to make it work. I started up the car Saturday and theres no power steering. I put a serpentine pulley on the pump and put a new fitting on so I can route the hose up instead of in front of the pulley. The only thing I can figure is maybe the fitting isn't let enough fluid flow to make the steering the work? The pulley is spinning fine. no strange noises or anything out of the ordinary. So I'm not sure really what to do next.

On most ps units you need to cycle the steering lock to lock a few times to bleed the air out.

Is it possible that the lines are swapped?
Offline
I tried that and it was hard turning. I did it about 8 times and let it run until it was up to operating temp still no power steering. The power line has a A6 fitting on it. The return line has a hose clamp on it. So no reversing. I was going to take the fitting off and see what happens while cranking. If there is any pressure so I can rule out if there's a problem with the pump or not.
