I got my washer pump wire up and running yesterday only to be disappointed in the out put. All I got was a little dribble of fluid out of the drivers side port. I thought it might be something wrong w/ the setup or the pump but I read a dozen discussion postings from people w/ the same results:
It seems these recreations are kind of junk and just aren't strong enough. Has anyone had similar results? I was thinking of just getting a universal pump. As long as it's 12v it should work the same.

Before purchasing a universal pump, you might take a look at the alternate pump that Ford used on the cars equipped with single speed wipers. It's cheaper than the 2-speed version.

I was just digging around on Dennis Carpenter website Saturday for some Galaxie soft parts. I am pretty sure I saw a rebuild kit (rubber diaphram) for the original pumps. Might want to check into it.

Uncle got this as replacement, definitely a good alternative.

I just bought a Scott Drake washer kit. I hope it is not a dud for me too...
