Have a nearly-new set of four 235/45/17 Nitto Motivo tires on American Racing Torque Thrust 2 wheels 17 x 8 part number  VN2157866 with 4 7/8 backspace and 5 x 4 1/2 bolt circle. Includes center caps that have never been installed.
Tires and wheels have 6 miles on them, which is long enough to determine that fender clearance issues exist when installed on a lowered 65 Mustang fastback.
These wheels and tires may fit an early Mustang with rolled fenders, but not one with stock fenderwells even thought some websites say they do fit.
Likely these will fit just fine on the bigger Galaxies or later Mustangs having a larger wheel well or rolled fender lips, but not on a 65 fastback with MS front Cobra brakes and MS rear Cobra brakes mounted on a 57 Ford Fairlane stock width read end.
The wheels and tires look great on the early cars, however suspension travel beyond about 2 inches results in wheelwell to sidewall interference.
