66 Galaxy questions.

A friend of mine is needing a headliner in his 66 galaxy. I know nothing about them. Can someone confirm if it is the two door fastback?  Also will we need to take the front and rear glass out of the car?  i

Yes, that would be called a fastback.  You may also hear it refered to as a 2 door hardtop.   Note the lack of frames around the side windows.   



This would be a you would hear refered to as a sedan, or a 2 door post.  See the frame built around the side window glass.    There are also 4 door sedans and four door hardtops.   

2nd question.  Yes for the headliner to be installed properly, the windows should be removed.  I believe these are the last couple of years where the headliner wraps under the gasket.   That is not to say that someone with some ingenuity could find a way to get it under enough to make it work, but proper is folded under the gasket.


If multiple things can go wrong, the one that will go wrong will be the one that causes the most damage.
