T5 Trans Blew.............What Now?

Hey Y'all.....from one disaster to the next, now my T5 Blew.  got one year out of it.  I guess my engine rebuild was too much, 3rd gear exploded.

Anyone have options, I guess beefed up T5 parts are hard to find here in my region of southern Ontario.....

many thanks Everyone, you're always a huge help

Re: T5 Trans Blew.............What Now?

Glen is a long time participant here.  He is a T5 guru and runs Rosehill Performance Parts and his brother (& he, I believe) run Steve's Mustang Parts.  Josh-kebob referenced their website in his post.  Glen has built many T5's for people here, including MustangSteve's

Re: T5 Trans Blew.............What Now?

The big question is..........how wide of a rear tire are/were you running and what rear gear ratio?!

Re: T5 Trans Blew.............What Now?

You can build a t5z but honestly theyre not a ton stronger..on a budget get the hanlon motorsports how to video and swap out just third gear and the cluster shaft..cost u $200 and u r on the road again.  however if u r running enough power to break the t5 i would suggest a tremec 500/600 trans or an astro performance a5 gearset to go into the t5... neither of which are cheap.

Be sure to fix that tail light wiring, Glenn.  That fix in Kalispell was just a patch.

See ya soon, can't wait.
