Speedo Cable

Finally got my rear end fixed, correct brake pedal and booster all installed. Got to drive the 67 more than a 1/2 mile this time. Went on about a 10 mile cruise to see if I could find anything else wrong. So far so good, except.  I have a 67 cooupe, 302, 1989 T5 transmission in it. The  t5 grinds a little every time goin into 4th. Not bad, but does it if I drive easy or get on it, does the same .
Also, what speedometer cable should I buy? The rear end has 4.33 gears so I believe I will also need a different gear in the tranny. Does it have to be taken apart to put that in?

Re: Speedo Cable

Talk to Glen at Steve's Mustang Parts in Waller, TX.  He's the resident guru on all things T5 and he can prolly supply what you need...and he's a good guy.

Re: Speedo Cable

Your original speedo cable will work, you will have to figure out what gear you'll need to match your gear ratio and tire size. As for the grinding you may just need to adjust your cluch cable ah little tigher..
