Carb heat rise tube vs hipo headers

I have an original 1965 Ford Mustang Ford auto light 4100 with the heat rise tube. The heat rise tube is supposed to go down to the exhaust manifold and tie in, however with the Hipo header there's no way for the heat rise tube to terminate. My question is simce it is just reheat is there a way that I can put a fitting on top of the header to clean that up?  For example will brass atock or something work? I would like to get rid of the clamp at the H pipe that is currently holding this in place.
thanks

Re: Carb heat rise tube vs hipo headers

This is what I have on my 302 with shorty headers, 4100 carb:

It works fine.
Good Luck

Re: Carb heat rise tube vs hipo headers

Could you use a Holley electric thermostat?

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: Carb heat rise tube vs hipo headers

HiPo Mustangs came with manual chokes ao they did not need the heat risor.  I'd be tempted to try the electric choke modification.  It works well with other carbs.
