Hi stumbled upon this website and got some great advice on a brake problem I am having in my 1970 Mach1. Turns out I installed the wrong break pedal in my car during the restoraion when I converted it back to the original auto transmission brake pedal. I was able to quickly purchase the parts I needed and hope to be installing and test driving soon.
Wish I found this site two years ago but now that I have been through the process hopefully I can offer some advice here and there and get some feedback as I work through the final list.

Cheers

KC

Glad to have you on board, Kenzo.  You will find everyone very helpful here.  We might not agree on everything, but we do agree on helping other Mustangers.

Where are you located?  A good way to get to know everyone is to attend the annual BASH.  You can check it out in the BASH section of the forum.  It will be in Tennessee Sept 28.

Is that Indian Fire Red?  My first ten Mustangs were all 70 model.  1st was an M code MACH I in Grabber Green!

The road trip will only be 1,140 miles each way for you.  Several of us from TX are going farther than that!  Hope you can make the BASH.  That MACH has been waiting for 25 years for an opportunity like that!

Re: New Forum Member

The paint is Y code I believe and it is called Metallic Chestnut, there were not too many painted that color. Pretty much a plain jane Mach 1 from the factory. H code really not much for options.
I bought the car for $1,200 dollars when I was 19 years old I wanted a quarter mile machine so I converted the car to a toploader 4 speed, 4:11 rears gears pulled the engine and built it up. Cracked up the car when I was 21 and tucked it away for 20+ years until I had the time space and money to restore it. It has a modified 351C C6 transmission, 3:50 rear end now, I am anxious to see how that is going to perform. I have the next couple weeks off and hope to put a big dent in my list of items to complete. First up being getting the brakes square away as I used some of the wrong parts. I have made my fair share of mistakes over the years and have learned a thing or two and hope I can offer some constructive feedback to others.
