    can a worn out t5 trans cause a vibration at idle and while reving,i have replaced all mounts,new crank damper/flywheel clutch all correct 28oz balance for 289 motor,no vacum leaks,timing is spot on etc,first  and 2nd gear is whiny too

    Need more info.  In gear with the clutch pushed in?  In neutral?  Does the vibration go away while driving?

    If the vibration is present when the clutch is disengaged (pedal down) then the transmission is decoupled (not being driven) and the problem is probably between the flywheel/pressure plate and the balancer.

    It seems like 6Sally6 posted one time that he had a T5 with some slop in the input shaft.
    Also, what kind of condition is the pilot bushing (or bearing) in?
    As stated above, if it is either one of those it should stop vibrating when the clutch is pressed.
