Hello all ,
with lucky i have found one good standing hood for my 66 to be used for my shelby hood project.
I am asking some tips about fixing the scoop . Weld or glue ?
I have used this special glue for metal in past and believe me is strong like a welded point.
This is the regular glue used in modern process of building cars.
Another ask is about the scoop lip .
the scoop lip just lay on hood , thereafter i need to bondo the junction all around , correct ?
Some other things that i could have forget in this project ??
tips welcome !

Avoid using filler (Bondo) on a hood as much as possible. Hoods flex a lot, and filler will crack and fail eventually. If the scoop is metal and the hood is metal I would weld it, smooth the weld, and use as little filler as possible. The best would be to finish the metal good enough to fill any imperfections with a couple of coats of high build primer prior to block sanding and paint.
