Re: National Mustang Day

Yeah, things kind of slowed down a bit after the 65-66 frenzy...

I think I have owned a good percentage of those as well.

I wonder how many car models have achieved that number?

Re: National Mustang Day

I bought 3.

The Model T sold 15 million.

The Volkswagen Bettle sold 21.5 million, including the later models.

The F-series might be the king.  I can't find exact overall figures, but they sold over 3.5 million of them in the last five years alone (and 2019 models are not out yet, so it will likely be closer to 4 million if they keep pace with the last 4 years).  One is sold every 30 seconds.  Its been the best selling truck for 40 years, and the best selling vehicle for 35.  And yep, I've owned 2 of them too, and in a couple more years that could well change to 3.

Re: National Mustang Day

Define owning.  Is owning one that has been titled in your name, or one that has been licensed and driven?

Mustangs
1965 coupe.
1966 coupe (springtime yellow)
1966 coupe. (C code)
1966 convertible
2016 fastback

I'd probably have owned many more if I didn't also like Falcons and Galaxies

If multiple things can go wrong, the one that will go wrong will be the one that causes the most damage.
