Borgson swap 67.

Have the 68 borgson box in the 67 . Had to add the 68 pitman arm and manual center link. Do I also need the manual idler arm? What is the difference in the manual and power idler?

Re: Borgson swap 67.

I think MS was edumacated bout the differences.
Basically, on a 65/66, so probably 67/68 as well, the PS idler rubber bush, has nubs on it that aids in returning to centre.
Because of that, I'd stay with the PS idler.

Re: Borgson swap 67.

In practice it doesn't seem to matter.  I went from manual steering and did not swap my idler arm.  I'd say, so long as its in good shape go ahead and just use what you've got.

Re: Borgson swap 67.

Like TKOPerformance, I also did not replace my idler arm when I installed my Borgeson box. I went from manual to power steering.  It was in good shape and everything works well.
Good luck with your project.
