4bbl Quadrajet on a Ford!?

this maybe a first, but I need to ask!

Can I install a 4bbl CHEVY Quadra-Jet on a stock Ford 302 ???


If not, why???


im asking cause I have access to one for Free and it doesnt need a rebuild, its ready to go!

I guess with a square bore - spread bore adapter plate.

Yes, with an adapter absolutely.  BUT, Q-Jets are fairly application specific.  My guess is you will get lackluster results at best without a fair amount of tuning.  I personally like the Q-Jet.  Its a great performance carb, IF you know how to tune it.  Do you know what its from? 

Also, if you have an automatic trans it won't have the right linkage, and I don't know if adapters for that are available.
