Hurricane Micahel

Our part of Ft Walton Beach is in a Cat 5 Mandatory Evacuation Zone, so anything lesss we hunker down. Historically there has never been any Storm Surge or flooding on our lot. and the Hurricanes we have weathered here the winds seem to not hug the ground and do pass over us. Our reasoning for not evacuating.
Michael did as predicted take a turn to the east so we were on the less harmfull side and 65 miles away from where it crossed on shore. Unlike Panama City we had very little rain, no storm surge and winds of less than 40mph. No power lines down or lost power. The Direct TV sattelite did loose connection several time so we had to binge watch DVR recorded TV
The hurricane has left our region with no issues.
So thaanks for any concern, and send your prayers to those in real danger inland on the Hurricanes path toward 6Sally6 and the Atlantic Coast.

Tubo & Karol

Re: Hurricane Micahel

WOW!! Great news...........
Good ole weather channel............we thought the entire state of Florida was going to be "slicked-off" and  slide into the Gulf.
Good news just the same.
Looks like BILLY WALTON (and possibly my bubba-in-law) way get the worst-of-it.
I think I turned over all my lawn chairs and took down my hanging baskets....................fer nuth'in...(I'm happy though!)

Looks like I was worng for once!  Turns out Michael was way worse than I  thought!  Ranked right up there with Camelle (1969 catagory 5 killer)  Turns out to be a very deadly hurricane......sorry I "blew-it-off" (pun intended)

Re: Hurricane Micahel

Looks like y'all dodged a  bullet. We're waiting for what's left of it to pass thru S.E. Virginia this afternoon and tonight. We're already in a tornado watch. Temps are expected to drop 25 in a matter of hours. They're saying we may get 50 mph winds. Sounds kinda ho hum compared to what they got in Fla.
