71-73 shock tower brace … DONE.

Just got the shock tower brace back from powder coat and put it back in.  The goofy cowls on the 71-73 with the compound angle made the brace a bit of a project.

Yep-homebuilt...
But I bought the shock tower plates from Maier.  Could have cut them out myself, but buying those saved me some time.

Nice. I see quite a bit of other mods going on there. Have you covered them in a build thread somewhere? If not, please do.

If anyone wants to copy the 71-73 cowl bracket here is a drawing… Don't trust the bracket hole locations.  I don't think there is any harm laying them out as shown, but don't punch or drill them until you check on your car.  The 2" flat strap was just bent to match the profile of the bracket.  I did mine on a harbor freight hydraulic press with some crude home made press brake dies.
