New acquisition and looking for opinions for replacement rear leafs on a '65 convertible with 289 4bbl with dual exhaust as the car sags on the driver's side. I've done it before on a '66 coupe using parts vendor kit with good results. Looking to replace with stock rate springs and regular eyelet. A couple of buddy's swear Eaton's are better. Is there any advantage of going through Eaton directly other than cost? Are Eaton's better? They are not that much more expensive but when I can get free shipping from the parts vendor total price is a consideration. I'm willing to pay more for better parts, just need to make sure it's worth it.
Thanks Tony

IMO, "Grab-A-Track" puts out a very good product. I would recommend a 4 1/2 leaf instead of stock. I have them as well as many of my Mustang friends.

I've always been happy with Eaton over the years. I've also been happy with the Grab-A-Track springs front Mustangs Plus. I think in general, so long as you're buying from a good company you'll get good springs. Price shopping for the lowest possible cost is going to yield lackluster results.
Most guys seem to like either a 4.5 leaf or 5 leaf spring from the various posts I've read here.
I would advise using either Del-A-Lum or rubber bushings. Poly bushings have a bad tendency to squeak over every minor bump and are super annoying.

i have choosen the average 4 leaf and i am not satisfied .
Take a good 4,5 leaf and they will be the best buy for years .
I don't know eaton but if they are good as people sayd , go like this !

I've got the Grab-a-Trac 4 1/2 on my 66. Very satisfied with them.

Thanks for the input. What advantage are 4.5 over the stock 4 leaf?

more leafs , more lbs , but this dont mean you are riding much more stiffer . a little bit stiffer .
Now is a good time to buy good adjustable shocks .

65FB 4 leaf mid-eye GAT springs. Installed in 2014 with a few thousand miles on them....14 inches.
