Re: I broke my own laws several times recently...

Steve, Your right about having more fun driving slow cars fast as opposed to driving fast cars slow. I bought a 2015 Ford Fiesta with the DDC transmission and it is a blast to throw around. Can't really get out of it's own way, but it's fun

Re: I broke my own laws several times recently...

And it gets WORSE!!

I had to take the car in for service, and the dealer gave me a loaner. 2019 four door hardtop, pretty much same car as mine, but it is a HYBRID.  Those folks have it figured out, guys. I don’t know the numbers, and really don’t care, but that thing HAULS and it handles much better than the Shelby.  A regular gas four cylinder 2.0 backed by an electric motor. Totally seamless operation. Only way to tell if it has killed the gas part of the equation is to look at the tach. It goes to zero unless you put your foot in it.  This thing is way faster than my 430i twin turbo is.  Anyway, say I am impressed with the new technology.  But, good grief, when it goes out of warranty and has to be repaired, heaven help the owner.

My 66 still looks better all the time!  But a guy could surely get used to this well balanced new stuff.

Still a Ford guy, and if they made some cool stuff other than a truck or Mustang in RWD, I would be driving it. I totally understand why Ford is killing off their front wheel drive cars.  Nobody wants them.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

I have a 2014 KIA Optima Hybrid.  We love that car.  Though its not as peppy as yours it gives us 40+ MPG in city and hwy.  Its has the Electric motor with is about 50hp along with the engine that's 150hp.
