Hey MS
You show in the GT2008 FT instructions that you modified the stock 2005-2010 GT front brake hoses.
"Modify Stock Hose Bracket
(remove from hose fitting prior to welding.
then rivet it back to the fitting)"
Could you explain exactly what you did to modify/reattach the mounting bracket?
Also doing a search for hoses I found 2 types: ABS (~18" long) and non-ABS (~14" long)
Which one is best to use?

Non ABS hose is best. No need for the extra length.
You can see in the picture (from the GT2008-FT instructions) where the bracket has been cut and rewelded. Cut yours to make it look like the one in the instructions picture. You will NOT want to weld on a piece of metal attached to a rubber hose to avoid melting the hose. The bracket is riveted, or peened, to the (non-visible in pic) side of the hose bracket. Remove the bracket before cutting it by filing the peened area down so you can remove the bracket from the hose. Then, before reattaching it, grind the bracket a little bit thinner so you have something to peen the remaining bracket "rivet" to. Just place it in a vise and use a ball peen hammer to peen the bracket together. I wish I had a picture of the peened area.
BASICALLY, just make your hose look like the one in the instructions.

perfect!
thanks for the clarification MS

Hey MS
On the GT2008FT install how do you deal with the extra bracket
midway on the OEM brake hoses? Just trim the tab? Carefully remove the whole bracket from the hose?
