On the GT2008FT install how do you deal with the extra bracket
midway on the OEM brake hoses? Just trim the tab? Carefully remove the whole bracket from the hose?

When I saw these posts I got motivated and finally did my front hoses yesterday. Since the small bracket is swedged on to the hose, I figured I couldn't remove it without compromising the hose. I cut off the tab with a band saw and then ground some of the remaining lip material down on a bench grinder while making sure I didn't get it too hot. I probably left about a 1/16" rim. It doesn't interfere with anything when in place.

GPatrick has it right. Be careful not to get it too hot.
