Bullet Bob found something else....Beautiful 1957 Fairlane 500

A lady in our local club has a '57 Fairlane 500 two-door hard top for sale and if you have any interest in owning one, this one is worthy of a look.

My friend and I looked the car over in her garage and both agree that it appears to have been done right.  According to her it was build by Thunderbirds Southwest in Texas.  It has a fresh Y-block, power front disc brakes, power rack & pinion, AOD trans, hang-on AC with Sanden  type compressor.  It had to be a frame-off resto because you couldn't get the underside as nice as it is any other way.

She is asking a VERY reasonable price and already has a stupid low-ball offer.  For what she want's there is no way you could get close to doing a car....any car...this nice.

If you have specific questions....mechanical details, driving impressions, etc. you can PM me and I'll be happy to play "inspector".

If you are interested in a 57, this one IS NOT a waste of time.

For asking price or a ton of pix or other info you can contact Patty Ratliff:  970-765-6422.

I've never understood why the 57 Chev got all the love.... these are a great car.
Wish I had the space ... and the money.

Call her, Barry.  I won't quote what she told me she would like to get in case that was because I was standing there and am a club member.  You might be surprised.
