I’m getting to the point in my 65 FB build to make an AC decision. I haven’t decided on Vintage Air or Classic Elite yet, any pros or cons I should be aware of? Since my driver side air vent was missing when I got the car, do I need it with the new AC or can I block it off?
Thanks

I have installed two Vintage Air Gen IV systems...one in our 66 Mustang and one in a 64 Falcon...and I highly recommend them. The install under the dash is pretty easy, it moves a lot of air, and is nearly invisible, other than the discharge louvers. The real high-point is the electronic controls that use the stock levers and provide nearly infinite blend as to fan speed, temp, and discharge mix.
All of the systems are "Recirculate" only and recommend blocking the fresh air vent. I removed the one in our Mustang but I plan to re-install it as I like fresh air instead of AC during certain times of the year. We left it in the Falcon and as long as it's closed it has no ill effect on the performance of the AC. Your choice.

I have a Gen IV Vintahe Air in my car and I like it. They provide a block off plate for the driver side fresh air vent as part of the kit.
The fresh air vent is still in my car cause I wanted the option. However during last years Bash, I taped it over with duct tape cause I was feeling warm air around my feet. Being a 50+ year old part leads me to think the rubber flap doesn’t seal that well.

Thanks for your input!
