Noticed this comment yesterday: "I've never seen so much done to a car to make it look like nothing has happened" @ 10:35 into this video:

Great quotes Mike and Hakan.

I don’t know how long it will be before I feel comfortable enough to leave the tool box at home for extended trips. If I have tools with me, I probably won’t need them.

Re: Just saw a cool quote I really like..........

When mine was newer I never took my tools with me. Then plugs started to foul that's when I started taking them with me. Now even with a new engine I don't leave em home. The carb or timing or leaks or electrical or squeeks always need to be trimmed. But it always feels good to open the hood look around then close it.

Re: Just saw a cool quote I really like..........

I always take tools on long trips.  BUT, I take them in my other vehicles too.  Its just being prepared.  Honestly its probably more likely I'll have a problem in my daily driver or my wife's daily driver than my '67.  The engine in that car has maybe 10,000 miles on it, and the rest of the car even less.  My DD F250 has 233,000 on the clock and my wife's WRX is at 209,000 by comparison.

Re: Just saw a cool quote I really like..........

I've been known to take a tool or two on a trip. The Boy Scout motto works pretty well.

Ah, back to quotes though, I forgot to add this one: "You can't beat brains into someone, you can only beat the @#$% out of them."
