    Installed my Vintage air unit under the dash the other day and now trying to wrap up my AC lines and routing.

    My compressor is on passenger side under alternator and lines enter from core support under battery tray.

    My question is the 90 degree fitting for suction on the compressor(circled in pic) does it have to point downward or can it be parallel to ground or even angled upwards toward firewall  without affecting operation ? I'm thinking if I rotated it to point toward rear of car it will help get things routed better.

    I think that might help with the angles of the somewhat rigid hoses.

    I also painted the condenser and dryer lines as MS suggested so they don't show through the grill.

    The angle of the fitting will not matter
     

    Cut to fit, Pound to shape, Paint to match

    Not to change the subject but what kind of brackets did you receive to hang the AC compressor on lower passenger side?  Where do they mount too?  Still working on mine and I have it mounted on drivers side upper.  Its seems sky high!
