Showplace Classics Car Show at Freddy's Forzen Custard in Pearland

Took the Mustang down to Pearland today with John Warley. Spent the day, had a great time, and enough people voted for my car that they give me a class award. I was really surprised.  Here is me and the other John!!

This was a nice Fairlane with a small block.

This guy didn’t join the show, but it was a clean truck.

This thing looks like it was painted with spray on bed liner. There was a definite change in thickness on those flames. Untitled by JOHN DIXON, on Flickr

Needless to say, this guy won best paint. I can’t imagine the hours that went into the detail on the car.

Atta boy John! But we all who've seen (and ridden in) your cool car know how worthy it is. Looks like a fine collection showed up.

About that 39 Ford with the bedliner paintwork: I lived in Pearland and saw a lot of vehicles with bedliner paint. There was a shop that did that and their shop truck was a Suburban sprayed with olive drab bedliner!!! I think the trend started to keep the sheetmetal together on their beach vehicles. The sheetmetal can rust away, but the bedliner holds everything together longer.

In my endeavor to be creative, I've spent far too much time trying to upload a pic (to tinypic) of a sexy gal giving a thumbs up for ya. So just fantasize it, OK?

Thank you. Mrs. Bolted has been doing a great job of that for years.

Nice job John.  I saw it up close a year ago and it was beautiful.  I can only imagine the finished product.  Otto’s BBQ had Mustang night 2 weeks ago, wish you would have made it.
