I have a 351w based stroker in my 67 which is about an inch taller than the original 289.
The heater hose fittings come out behind the engine with not a lot of clearance to make a 90 degree bend to run to front of engine on passenger side. What have you guys done with heater hoses to deal with this sharp bend ? I thought about running up on to the intake but that's still a pretty sharp bend upwards as well.
I also need to install the heater control valve that came with the vintage air. Where have you guys been mounting it ?

The concourse correct heater hoses from NPD for a 390 car have those 90 degree bends that you need. I made a bracket out of a 4" square electrical box cover and mounted the diverter valve at the firewall. I will take some pictures and post when I get home.
There was one other hose that I bought to come up from the heater core to the valve that I will find the part number for. It should make more sense with pictures.

This is the best I can do till I can get back on a PC.
I bought the hose between the heater core and water valve from NPD # 18472-27A in the 66 to 73 catalog. I cut it down to the length I needed and spliced it back together with a coupling an clamps.Untitled by JOHN DIXON, on Flickr

I mounting the water valve on the intake manifold by a bracket I made on my 65 w/351W. I used hose that I found on the Gates website and purchased from Amazon. I plan to replace the hose clamps w/the heat shrinkable type (Gates) that I also purchased from Amazon.
The lower hose is hard up against the engine/valve cover so I placed a piece of rubber in tht area to protect the hose.
