With the time difference, its not often I get an answer in before anyone else .... really don't like saying +1 or +5 all the time.
The knowledge here is so good, I'd just look like a yes man.

If he doesn't find that leak he'll have a gravel truck following him to take advantage of the free road-oil.

Um...my neutral safety switch and back up lights work just fine off the stock shifter and wiring. Maybe mine being a 69 and y'all having 65 or 66 is the difference.

I guess it's cause you didn't have a C4 or C6 with the box mounted switch.

Yep,  mine came with that light weight FMX.

Oh my god!!! Lol I want to one day install backup lights and yes would love to have my neutral safety working!

On the 65, what wires are neutral safety? I though there were two or three wires in the stock C4 harness ..

I had to cut it off the box on the C4

Ok another issue ::

The parking brake lever mount on this new trans crossmember is a good 2” further rear wards , making the parking brake cables too loose . Like to get them to stay straight, I am having to pull the lever in the car to get them to not sag..

Any cables I can buy that are shorter / adjustable? (Z bar is fully adjusted frontwards )

Would Love help

I cut the adjuster rod and shortened it. But, I also got custom cables for the rear discs.

When I first did my AOD I just cut the cable loop back one side from the adjuster and double clamped it back together.

I cut the cable and clamped it back together shorter. But you cut it so one side is longer so it can run through the "horse shoe".

If using the 65 two cable system, like I am, cut both sides the same amount and reswage some ends back on them.

Gaba, you can use a wire rope clamp. Most hardware stores should carry them. They are sized by the cable that goes through them. Should look the same as the link.

If you use the loop and slip through coupling, try to leave the cut end of the cable up inside the fitting. It prevents the sharp ends of the cut cable from scratching you when you are working near the cables.

And, those cables should be tough to cut. Use a good pair of diagonal cutters, I called them dikes for years, to nibble through the cable.  Klein brand was my tool of choice.

I found years ago that a good, sharp, cold chisel and solid chunk of iron (I like my piece of railroad iron) combined with a sharp hammer blow is the best thing I've found for cutting small diameter cable.

I HAVE GOOD NEWS!!

finally got the nerve to, and finished enough small projects to start the mustang! And no weird noises!!! Put the car in gear, and It took it!!! Reverse worked, Drive worked... all still on the jackstands but it all worked!!!

One leak at where I have the external filter installed by the radiator. that rubber hose and clamp weretn fully correct I think , but apart from that NO leaks. no chirps. or squeals and squalls! I have a video of the car running, cant see me, but I am screaming and heck YEAH-ing and dancing!! LOL  hahah if you want to hear me scream I will upload it!! LOL

The car is still on jackstands, needs that hose fixed, TV cable tightened a bit as it wants to not move with the throttle very well (got some excess slack) .. Nuetral safety switch hooked up,

The H pipe had to be cut open to get the old exhaust pipes on, as the crossmember is in the way. It is  loud for sure with all the exhaust leaks and the open H section.. but should be drive-able to the exhaust shop

Does it shift out of 1st.. no clue.. but I know the valve body is working enough to take the Reverse, and Drive commands :D :D I am a happy camper :D

That is good news Gaba! Sounds like you've followed the instructions...except running it thru the gears on jack stands. Just give it more gas till it shifts, and don't be skeert.  As you probably know, that TV cable is better off a bit tight rather than loose. It is a wonderful  feeling eh?

Very happy to hear all that, Gaba.  I nude you could du it.  Anybody that can build and fly heliochoppers can sure as heck bulid an auto box.
As Bob says, run it thru the gears on the stands,  then check and top off the fluid when warm and running in park.  Then tighten up the TV cable and get 'er off the stand and on the street.

Way to go GABA. Make sure the car is rock solid on the stands before you start through the gears. No need to floor it!! Just enough to get the tires going. I wouldn’t think too much over idle. Have fun, but be careful. Time to hit the streets.

Ok... very good news!!
Adjusted TV cable by the book (as much as possible), with a pressure gauge and everything . Dialed it in at 35psi , in nuetral, hot and idling , with that TV cable spacer pulling the cable in.

Ran the car through it’s gears multiple times . I don’t know if I felt the 2-3 shift much, but I sure do know it went to OD as it was 60+ mph and doing 1500 rpm.

Car is off the jacks finally!! Waiting for exhaust shop to open ..

The leak is saw in this video was from the Oil pressure tap port that had the gauge on it

OK !! so

drove the mustang to and from the exhaust shop! and yes it was AMAZING!! such a great feel to have 4th gear with the AOD!!

I do see that the shifts are a lot softer than I want them to be. when adjusting the TV cable, I did adjust the pressure down from almost 40 to almost 34.. I am going to bump it back up to 40.. TO get the shifts to come a bit later and harder hopefully!

I am not used to the feel of the trans at all. It takes off well, and runs well! but in OD, MAN does it lug ... with my 2.79 rear.. like y'all had said it would.. good thing is, it is driveable, and the trans build and install is sucessful!

now my hunt for 3.25 8" third member begins! :D
