Draining fuel

After doing 10-12 miles testing out my Most Excellent Cooling System, I'm now not getting gas up to the carb. 75% of the gas in there is probably 1.5 yrs old. I think I had stabilizer in there, but not sure.

Is there a plug on the tank?..or do I suck it out the old fashion way? I'll replace the filter first.
TIA

Re: Draining fuel

Some tanks get a plug, others don’t. Will have to look and see. If you pull a plug, have plenty of help and containers handy. Might be hard to get something positioned while you hold a finger over the hole and gas runs down your arm!!

Re: Draining fuel

If you have a plug in the tank and decide to drain it that way please be very careful. Drain it outside on the driveway so fumes do not collect in the garage.

Re: Draining fuel

Some do & others don't have a plug,eh?...OK, I'll check it out & see. Thanks guys

Yea, I'll be careful, have some experience in that regard.*

p___'s me off if to waste the gas, what w/ this State having the highest gas prices. I do use it for weed/brush killer at least.

*True story....around age 21, Wife #1 & went remote 4wd camping...had the 'ol Coleman stove that used White Gas...was also called Naphtha. HIGHLY flammable. Had trouble lighting the camp fire...being highly educated (BS Degree), I knew better then to pour that on the fire, so put a tiny bit in a cup & moved the capped gallon can 3-4 Ft. away. Started a nice flame in the fire...I also saw in slow motion it seemed, the vapor gas trail ignite in a arch from the fire to the closed gallon can...I knew in that instant that not only would it kill me, but I was honestly more worried about burning the forest down w/ no help near by. I garbed fistfuls of dirt & spread it everywhere. The scar on my hand is still visible but the forest was saved. Cheap lesson that I will never forget.

Hey, Bolt...u deserve 2 thumbs up for the Mrs., but for the other guys I got that pic uploaded
