When turning ignition switch to accessories or off

from accessories Im getting a click from the starter area.  Im changing the gauges around and cleaning
up the wiring.  I replaced the ignition switch insert last season.  Just noticed this when I checking out
some lighting and turning on the switch on and off.   Do you think its a bad switch or my wiring?.    I do have a mini starter that I have a long time and always worked well.

Thanks
Steve

Re: When turning ignition switch to accessories or off

It would sound as though the solenoid is being energized for a split second, just enough to engage the starter, but not crank.  My first thought would be to disconnect the wire from the solenoid to the starter and see if the noise goes away.

Re: When turning ignition switch to accessories or off

Ill check that out TKO.  I figure it has to be the switch or the solenoid.  Thanks
