I am sure I am not the only one to run into this. Have a drivers quarter panel on a 67 that only needs a lower patch panel put in to fix the limited rust holes. However, in removing the damaged section found that just a few inches of the bottom corner of the wheel house is also rusted out. I can't find anyone who sells a patch for this?
Huge numbers of quarter patches have been sold and applied over the years. It seems ridiculous to have to do a full wheel house replacement when a small formed patch would suffice. Anybody know of a supplier that offers this?
I am sure they could sell one with almost every quarter patch sold.
Thanks.

You might have better luck for a 67’
Us 71-73 folks have to purchase full outer wheelhouses and cut the patch out of them. I still have the remnants in my garage for some reason...

When I tackled the wheel wells on my 67 I purchased a dynacorn outer and cut it up for the patches front and back on the drivers side since I was replacing the quarter panel too. For the passenger side I pounded out my own patches, front and back, out of material from the old 1/4 panel. The steel is quite malleable. I used a ball peen hammer and lead shot bag to form the curves.

LS.......can you weld?
I cut & patched the wheelhouses on both side of my Mustang. Metal is pretty thin and malleable.....besides its INSIDE the wheel well...........sprayed with bedliner/undercoating......behind the wheel & fat tires!!!!
I mean....come on!!!...... cut out the rusty stuff and patch in a.....patch!!
