Why fuel filters were invented.

The inside of my log splitters's fuel tank.

With no sense of scale that looks like some nice tree bark mulch.

Wood burns, What do you need a filter for?

I pulled the tank and cleaned it out. The mulch had cause the bottom of the tank to rust creating a couple of pinholes. I could have used JB-Weld to fix it but I chose to  solder it instead. All fixed and splitting wood again.
