Glad you made it home Bob. Here is something I posted on another thread over AC systems, see my post.

A few more thought on the vintage air....all of the air outlets from the box are at the center of the car. The driver side goes straight across with a few bends, the passenger side tubing has to wrap around behind the box to make it to the register. This is bound to cause some loss of air flow. The Vintage air system does not allow for hot air to blow on my feet either like  a factory system.

I left my fresh air vent in place on the driver side, then taped it off when I felt warm air coming in.

Dude, me getting home was easy, we all were worried about your situation. But thanks for thinking of me.

Thanks for sharing your issues on your VA install.

Good luck with that FE John. I'm thinking a 3.98" stroke crank would be at home in that 390

So I'm even getting crap from the rookie eh. Since he follows up his bearing jab with a compliment on the 69's front suspension, how do you not just love the fng? Thanks Lt Dan!

Re: Last of the Mohicans makes it home...

I love the dash wiring pictures.  I can totally relate to them.  Wires everywhere and a work light that won't stay put or is constantly blinding you when it rolls your way.  My work light has more names than I could ever remember.  We should start a new forum solely for the purpose of showing dashboard pictures of what seems to be a situation that will never operate again.  I am sure we have all seen them at one time or another.  And we pray we never have to see them again!

Re: Last of the Mohicans makes it home...

I like the gauges and I like the A/C install. How does the blue gauge lighting work for you at night?

Actually, those wiring pictures are very orderly. Everything is labeled, looks like the owner is in control of his wiring. I did cringe a little bit seeing the old school masking tape being used for labels. After installing thousands of miles of control wiring over the last 40 years I cannot work with anything less than commercial quality wire labels, but that is just me and everyone agrees that I am weird.
