    Locating rear drum brake backing plate

    Searching for 10 inch rear drum brake backing plates for 66 Pony.  Any suggestions where to find these?  Any recommendations?  Thanks in advance.

    Paul Croswhite. The Mustang MD: 818 571-1344. He's located in Castaic Ca in northern LA county.

    Welcome!  If you're looking to upgrade the braking w/o going to a disc brake setup, you may want to look into 64-65 Fairlane station wagon read drums.  These are what Shelby used on the GT-350's.  They are 10" diameter and either 2.25' or 2.5" wide.  I believe the stock width was 1.75".  This is a bolt-on replacement as the backing plates are backset so the wheels will be in the same location as the original brakes.
