battery cables

Where do you guys recommend getting high quality battery cables ?

I know most of the local parts suppliers have some pretty cheap but low quality cables.

I'm going to be running a 130 amp 3G alternator in my car and know I need a 6ga or maybe even 4ga cable.

I see a couple websites that seem like they make higher quality cables like www.batterycablesusa.com

Just curious what you guys are using

Re: battery cables

I'm actually using a cable from PA Performance, where I sourced my 3G.

Typically though when I need cables I just make them.  Most good auto parts stores like NAPA sell cable in various sizes by the foot in red and black.  Ends can then be purchased separately and attached via a couple methods (crimp, mechanical, or my favorite solder on using solder slugs and a propane torch).  In general the higher the strand count the better the cable.  For 130 Amp I would not use anything below a 4 gauge wire.

Believe it or not I found a great seller on eBay who sells USA made quality cable. I've bought several different sizes, I love it that you can buy by the foot.

Here's one of their auctions https://www.ebay.com/itm/302005577153
